Documentary Project Development Workshop and Film Festival

17 June, 2010 - Zsolt Gyenge
More than 40 documentary films from 15 countries will be presented at the 6th Dialect Film Festival in Budapest. The festival looks for the anthropological content of the films and usually selects docs which present and analyse the way of life and culture of people in unprivileged situation. The event will take place between 23-28 of June and the international jury will choose the winners from three sections.

The festival will also organize a project development workshop for documentary films with nine participating projects from Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Iraq. The aim of the workshop is to encourage co-productions and to enable the production of such European documentaries which present the life and culture of Central-European countries. The workshop will be concluded by a pitching forum, where the nine projects will be presented to Hungarian and foreign television editors and producers.

A workshop on documentary film criticism is also added to the program.
