MEDIA support again for CineFest Hungary
The international film festival held in the northern Hungarian city of Miskolc has received second year in a row the support of the MEDIA program of the European Union. The festival (CineFest) grows every year in size and prestige, several cult-films have started here their Hungarian carreer. However the MEDIA support means that the festival will screen mainly European productions – this being one of the main conditions of the funding.
The festival is also supported by the International Visegrad Fund and the organizers have signed an exclusive sponsoring agreement with the legendary Irish company, Jameson.
The festival will be held between 10-19th of September and – according to the organizers – will have an even more powerful feature competition than last year. Beside that 500 films have been registered by filmmakers for the animation, short fiction and documentary sections – the best of these will be screened during the festival.
