Army Museum and its environs
The museum operates in the Buda Castle, in the wing of Nándor barracks overlooking the Vérmező. The Classicist building, which was transformed in the 1920s, was badly damaged in WW2, but has been renovated by now. In its 36 rooms a rich collection of weapons and military equipment are exhibited. On the leafy promenade in front of the building, old cannons are displayed.
