Szent István Basilica
Szent István Basilica is the largest church in Budapest, built by József Hild and Miklós Ybl in Classicist and Neorenaissance style in the second half of the 19th century. Two towers are connected to its enormous entrance topped by a tympan. Its Greek cross-shaped interior is covered by a huge dome. It has a richly ornamented interior with frescoes, statues (e.g. the statue of Szent István), mosaics. The building and its environs have been completely renovated.
