The Fót church
The work of architect Miklós Ybl, built in the first half of the 19th century in Romantic style. The basilica-style church is decorated with eastern, Arabic, Moorish motifs. Two high towers and a richly ornamental gateway lead into the interior, which is covered by a gilded, paneled ceiling. Its simple and large crypt also serves as a burial site. The church is rich in painted and sculpted ornaments.
