The Hajós Alfréd swimming pool complex
The swimming pool complex on Margitsziget (Margaret Island) was built after the designs of Alfréd Hajós in 1930. The functional brick building is characterized by geometric forms and plain walls. The marble plates at the entrance portray famous Hungarian swimmers and waterpolo players. The complex has a 25-meter indoor pool and two outdoor (a 50-meter and a 33-meter) pools; the 50-meter oudoor poool can be accessed through a roofed passageway from the changing rooms.
