The building of the Vigadó on the Pest Danube promenade was built in the second half of the 19th century in Romantic style, designed by Frigyes Feszl. Its carpet-like facade is divided by large arcades, statues and rich ornaments. Its luxurious interior – similarly to its exterior – is full of ornaments (statues, frescoes, oriental-style wooden paneled ceilings). The building has been competely renovated, it operates as a concert hall, ballroom and exhibition space.
