The church in the Buda Castle was built in the second half of the 13th century in early Gothic style. It was transformed several times, its current Neogothic appearance dates back to the late 19th century. On its grand western facade, a richly ornamental gateway, a rose window and the 60-meter-high tower can be seen. The entrance to the three-naved interior surrounded by chapels and covered by colorful frescoes is on the southern wall. Underneath the church, there’s a Neoromanesque crypt.
