Erzsébet square

Erzsébet square is located next to Deák square at one of the busiest junctions in Budapest. The square formerly served as a bus station, but it has been transformed. The station building, which is a historic monumnet, still awaits new function, but its surroundings have already been turned into a park. On the site of the pit that was to serve as the foundation of the new National Theater building, the Gödör Club organizes cultural events. The ceiling of the exhibition hall of the subterranean building constructed of marble and glass is the bottom of the transparent pool on the surface.
