The downtown area of Vác
With its Baroque and Zopf buildings, the square once renown for its market is the center of the small town on the bank of the Danube. The buildings in and next to the square – the city hall, the National Institute for the Hearing Impaired, the White Church and the hospital - have a unified look. The Classicist triumphal arch was erected in honour of a visit by Empress Maria Theresia.
