Szent János Hospital
The Budapest municipal assembly decided to build the hospital – named New Szent János (Saint John) Hospital – in 1887. The complex opened in 1898 in its current form, its style shows the influence of German and Austrian architecture. Next to the ten original buildings, a new, modern-style obstetrics department was built in 1935. The buildings are located on a leafy hillside.
