The headquarters of Hungarian Radio

Hungarian Radio moved into the building on Bródy Sándor street in District 8 - designed by Miklós Ybl in 1865 in Italian Renaissance style - before World War 2. The institution later also took over the plot between the Esterházy palace at Pollack square 4 and the burnt-out Károlyi palace at Pollack square 8, along with the destroyed riding arena that occupied it. The new, six-storey headquarters, which contains a World War 2 concrete bunker and is decorated by a large metal sculpture on its exterior wall, was constructed on this site.
