Szabó Ervin Library I.
The reconstruction of the Budapest Szabó Ervin Library took place between 1998 and 2001. During the process the Wenckheim palace, which was built in 1887 in Eclectic style, was connected with the resdential palace and the office building next to it. The stairwell built at the junction of the three buildings and the contemporary interior design provide a unified look to the buildings. The courtyard of the Wenckheim palace was turned into a glass-roofed atryum, its ballrooms were transformed into reading rooms.
