Hungarian adult animation in preproduction
Inforg Studio and Solve Art presented an animation project intended for an audience above 16 years at the Cartoon Forum in mid-September. Ludmilla, which will be an animation series of 12 episodes of 10 minutes each, has as main character a 19 year old single girl who shares her life with a Vietnamese pig. The story presents her path towards adult life and the way she becomes more and more interested in boys. Producer Réka Kálóczy mentioned South Park as an animation intended for adults which has found its target audience.

The script and graphic style of this 2D animation has been developed by Mona Mechler, who first contacted Solve Art with the idea. Later became partners Inforg Studio and Intuit Pictures from Berlin, where according to the plans postproduction will take place.

The budget of Ludmilla will be of 800.000 euros, 20% of which is planned to be financed by Hungarian sources, and the production also counts on the 20% tax reimbursement. This is why the producers are looking for partners for the remaining 60% of the budget. The series is destined especially for a European audience and the first episode is already in postproduction. The 12 episodes should be finished within 2 years time.
