In spite of this the staff is working day and night in order to show the first episodes on TV next month.

The Daily Mirror – which reported that several copies of the serial had been stolen from the film studio in Fót at the end of August – wrote in its exclusive report: the staff is shooting „day and night", so that the serial, in accordance with the original plans, could be shown on TV next month.

The executives of the producing company promised that they start to show the first episodes of the serial at the beginning of October in spite of the theft. The staff has to shoot the missing parts of episodes 5-13 again.

According to the newspaper the producing company, Tiger Aspects, offered 40 thousand pounds (3,3 million HUF) for any information through which the stolen copies could be found, but one of the directors of the company, Andy Zein said about the Hungarian location of the shooting that the chances of finding the tapes “seem slight”.

According to Zein this is a serious problem, but “the good news is that Robin Hood will be shown in time”. The insurance companies are to pay 250 thousand pound compensation for the lost copies.
The main character, the legendary prince of thieves, Jonas Armstrong said to the newspaper, “it is terrible what had happened….but we are working hard on finding the solution”.
