Cool waves of Baltic Sea in Budapest

The far and foggy Baltic Sea region has reached Budapest – representing more than 50 million habitants between the 3^rd of September and 12^th of October the art of the Baltic Region visits Hungary. The idea of the linking sea and the demonstration of a wide variety are the main message of this full artistic event, when the visitors can meet the Green Design eco-urbanistic exhibition, jewellery made of garbage, experimental jazz concerts.

The world wide famous northern, Baltic crime literature is also going to introduce itself, and of course the peculiar Baltic films are also knocking on the door. These movies have a strong characteristics, as Anu Kippasto, leader of the Esthonian Institute said: 'The Baltic man is calmer, slower than the Hungarian”.

There will be 14 films shown from 8 countries, all of them are connected to the Baltic Sea, the screenings will take place in KINO (www.akino.hu), Budapest. The Baltic Sea festival is organized by also EUNIC, the European Union National Institutes for Culture (http://www.eunic-europe.eu/).
