The largest multi-level cave system in Hungary can be found underneath the Buda Castle. The holes once called Turkish cellars are in fact natural limestone caves. The passages connecting the caves were fully completed in the 1930s. Currently, an 1,200-meter section of the strictly protected area is open for visitors. The labyrinth is is used for cultural purposes, there’s a cave museum and a wax museum inside.
