Wekerle colony
One of the most beautiful residential districts in Budapest, designed along a unified urban architectural concept. It was built in the early 20th century. The square floor plan of the colony is divided by perpendicular streets and diagonal avenues, which meet in a main square in the middle, following the design of Károly Kós. It mixes the folk and urban elements of suburban architecture.
