Vígszínház
The first theater for the bourgeoisie was built along Szent István boulevard in 1896. Both the exterior and the interior of the imposing building is rich in ornaments. The curved, protruding mid-section of the building has ornamental windows, crowned by a dome. It has seats more than 1,000 and has three rows of boxes. It was hit by a bomb in 1945, and was restored in 1994 according to the original plans.
