Features in competition in Magyar Filmszemle
Team Building

The debut feature of Réka Almási represents the weird development of the capitalist Hungary through the twisted logic of team building management techniques. The basic idea was a story told by a friend of Almási, about a weird team building session, when the workers of the company  had the possibilty to destroy an old coffee maker slot machine and it turned to a collective smashing ritual – which referred the inside tension not only them but inside all Hungary.
Almási was learning filming in the same class with Ágnes Kocsis (Fresh Air), Áron Mátyássy ( Lost Times), Attila Gigor (The Inspector).
The film was shot in a not so well treated hotel in Budapest.
The budget of the film was HUF 103 million, the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary (MMKA, www.mmka.hu) granted HUF 44 million, the Hungarian Public Television (MTV, www.mtv.hu) gave HUF 20 million. Czukor Show

Tamás Dömötör's film has strong criticism towards cruel TV talk shows – the idea of the film was suggested by a evening show in which a woman who killed his child was questioned. So the story is based on a play of  Milán Füst, a story of poor people, and they are guests in a TV show called Czukor Show. The story had a theatre version as well, so the filming could be very fast: within 10 days the film was shot. Also helped that 6 cameras were operating.
The budget was HUF 100 million, the production company is KMH Film http://www.kmhfilm.com/ , the producer is Ferenc Pusztai, Inez Matis. Question in Details (Köntörfalak)

After his two fresh comedy (Tesó, Kész cirkusz), Zsombor Dyga turned to the darker side: his new film is a triangle of relationships full of tension. The key is the dialog – a girl and a guy meet in a blind date than they get to the flat of the girls, but not for the obvious purpose. Then they meet the brother of the girl there. The conversations of the three persons reveal not only a crime, but many secrets and lies.
The film was shot in the office loft of the production company Filmteam http://www.filmteam.hu/ . The Gravedigger (A sírásó)

The Gravedigger is a kind of experimental film, the director-photographer Sándor Kardos made a film interpretation of Rainer Maria Rilke's poem (The funeral of John Mortonson) using the special device, a photo finish camera which is used for checking the exact final ranking of runners or horses. This camera doesn't create a familiar representation of space, but offers another approach, which makes a great challenge for the filmmaker and for the viewer. It requests a totally different job of actors, photography, directing. This is the first feature-length film made with this technique from Kardos, but he had two shorts already. The shooting lasted for two weeks, and most of the participators worked for free – the budget was quite low: HUF 35 million. The Gravedigger was produced by Inforg Stúdió http://www.inforgstudio.hu/ , the producer is András Muhi.
