Helen Mirren will star in the new film of István Szabó
As Bankside Films (http://www.bankside-films.com/), the world sales company of The Door, the new film of István Szabó announced, the Academy Award winner Helen Mirren will play the main role in the film.
Szabó will start shooting his new feature in the beginning of 2010, but not in january as the Bankside Films claimed it. The film is an adaptation of the worldwide famous novel of recently died Hungarian writer, Magda Szabó, titled The Door. The book was translated in 36 languange, there are two main roles in it, the writer and the cleaning lady called Emerenc. Emerenc will be played by Mirren, other names from the cast aren't announced yet.
The film is goint to be produced by FilmArt Studio Kft. http://www.filmart.hu/ and Intuit Pictures http://www.intuitpictures.com/s4.htm, producers are Jenő Hábermann and Sándor Sőth, executive producers are Marco Mehlitz of Lago Film and Phil Hunt of Bankside Films.
